Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday. Occasional late syncs with Seattle from 4–6 PM CET may be required.

Salary: PLN 245,000–275,000 gross per annum, plus equity and other compensation components.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve AWS cloud networking across hundreds to thousands of accounts and multiple regions.
• Implement VPCs, subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, load balancing, and Terraform-based infrastructure.
• Operate VPN, IPSec/IKEv2, Direct Connect, and BGP connectivity for financial partners and banks worldwide.
• Improve edge infrastructure using CloudFront, AWS Shield, WAF, and CDN failover strategies.
• Troubleshoot distributed network issues and improve infrastructure versioning, testing, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams, participate in a five-person weekly on-call rotation, and develop Go services over time.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of cloud networking, including VPC design, subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network traffic flow analysis.
• Hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure, with strong AWS experience.
• Production infrastructure experience and understanding of versioning, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work onsite in Krakow Tuesday through Thursday under the hybrid-work model.

Nice to have

• Experience with CloudFront, WAF, Shield, VPN, Direct Connect, or BGP.
• Understanding of multi-account governance and organizational tooling.
• Kubernetes or EKS familiarity.
• Backend or scripting experience and a desire to develop Go skills.
