Senior QA Automation Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Munich or Berlin, with remote work available within Germany

What you will do

• Build and evolve automated regression testing for mobile applications and backend services, plus focused web end-to-end tests for critical customer journeys.
• Develop reusable testing frameworks, simulation tools, and test-data capabilities for complex workflows.
• Integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability, diagnostics, and feedback speed.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define acceptance criteria, improve system testability, and prioritize coverage by customer impact and risk.
• Shape the QA automation roadmap, share reusable engineering practices, and strengthen quality ownership across engineering teams.
• Use exploratory testing and critically evaluate AI-assisted tools to identify risks and improve test coverage.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering, debugging, and test framework development skills.
• Experience owning and improving maintainable test automation.
• Strong backend and API testing experience, including data validation, integrations, and asynchronous workflows.
• Practical experience integrating tests into CI/CD, diagnosing failures, and reducing flaky tests.
• Sound testing judgment, clear communication, and the ability to influence technical decisions across engineering and product teams.
• Ability to work from Germany for the hybrid or remote arrangement.
