Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Linux)

Location: Prague or remote from the EU. EU citizenship or other eligibility to work in the EU is required.

What you will do

• Support engineering teams with the infrastructure required for their work.
• Own significant infrastructure projects from proposal and planning through rollout and documentation.
• Operate and improve Linux infrastructure across Hetzner VMs, Proxmox hypervisors, bare-metal machines, and related systems.
• Automate repetitive work and manage infrastructure as code with Puppet and Ansible.
• Participate in a weekly business-hours on-call rotation, handling requests, monitoring alerts, and upgrades.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, observability, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong Linux administration and production troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Solid Bash and Python scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, on-call, or operational responsibility.
• Proactive ownership, a service-minded approach, and clear communication in English.
• EU citizenship or other eligibility to work in the EU.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hetzner or other dedicated and bare-metal hosting.
• Experience with Ansible and Proxmox or other KVM-based virtualization.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners.
