Principal Product Manager (AI Agents)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States of America; primarily office-based, with some travel for customer meetings and industry events.

Annual base salary: $176,800–$286,000, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units.

A cybersecurity company developing cloud-managed network security and branch operations products across NGFW, SASE, and SD-WAN.

What you will do

• Define the strategy and roadmap for AI agents handling branch troubleshooting, security posture checks, configuration health, and software upgrade recommendations.
• Research workflows with network administrators, security teams, MSPs, and support engineers.
• Write PRDs and user stories defining agent behavior, data usage, autonomous actions, and approval requirements.
• Design and test agent interfaces, mockups, and prototypes with customers.
• Establish safety controls for live-network changes, including approvals, limits, explanations, and rollback.
• Drive metrics, packaging, pricing, enterprise sales enablement, partner programs, and collaboration across engineering, AI/ML, design, sales, marketing, and channel teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience in networking, network security, or IT infrastructure.
• Experience shipping management, monitoring, or troubleshooting products and building products using AI, machine learning, or large language models.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, SASE, SD-WAN, and identity-based access.
• Experience with product strategy, market sizing, positioning, pricing, business cases, and enterprise or partner-led go-to-market.
• Ability to write product specifications, build prototypes, and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agents, retrieval, tool calling, multi-agent systems, or evaluation.
• Experience with wired switching, enterprise Wi-Fi, cloud-managed networking, AIOps, multi-tenant platforms, or MSP-ready products.
• Prior experience as a network engineer, support engineer, sales engineer, or architect.
• CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, or PCNSE certification; master’s degree or MBA.
