Intel Foundry Senior Customer Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid work model with on-site and off-site work at hirify.global sites in Hillsboro, Oregon, or Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Regular engagement during Asia workday hours is required.

Annual salary range: $141,910–$269,100 USD.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary customer advocate and technical interface for quality inquiries across hirify.global Foundry and external OSAT partners.
• Direct incident and excursion management, including root-cause investigations, material disposition, and corrective actions.
• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D, RMA, and Product Change Notification processes.
• Facilitate customer quality audits and support compliance with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards.
• Design and standardize quality management systems and processes across foundry, assembly, and test operations.
• Track quality KPIs, conduct customer reviews, and drive cross-functional service, process, and yield improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1+ years.
• Experience with quality and reliability systems, excursion management, and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of quality management standards and audit frameworks, including ISO9001 and IATF16949.
• Technical familiarity with silicon process technology, advanced packaging, or foundry manufacturing environments.
• Ability to collaborate across global time zones, including regular engagement during Asia workday hours.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of silicon technology, IC package technology, assembly processes, advanced packaging architecture, and semiconductor standards.
• Experience managing quality and reliability interfaces with customers, foundries, and OSAT partners.
• Familiarity with IQA/OQA, PCNs, MBPS, and FACR workflows.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
