Early-Career Manufacturing Engineer

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California, United States; approximately 25% travel for site visits and vendor interaction.

Salary: $106,000–$181,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Review part and assembly drawings to assess manufacturing feasibility and apply DFM principles.
• Support the development of production workflows and tooling requirements.
• Research capital equipment, evaluate equipment options, and coordinate with vendors.
• Provide technical input to automation and inspection planning.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, automation teams, and program leads while helping ramp up factory lines across multiple manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
• Comfort reading mechanical drawings and applying DFM principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on.
• Interest in building modern manufacturing systems and processes.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements under ITAR, including being a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-mix, low-volume production environments.
• Familiarity with CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, or precision manufacturing.
• Interest in robotics, automation, or systems integration.
