Senior Associate Facilities (Biotech)

Location: On-site in Thousand Oaks, California, United States. Participation in after-hours on-call rotations and work outside established shift hours may be required on short notice.

Annual salary: $90,126.35–$121,935.65 USD.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily operations, corrective actions, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs across drug substance facilities.
• Provide technical support for facility components, production equipment, utility systems, clean rooms, and production suites while minimizing production impact.
• Prioritize work with maintenance technicians, system owners, Quality Assurance, manufacturing management, support departments, and external vendors.
• Develop and revise maintenance SOPs, job plans, spare-parts inventory controls, and maintenance procedures.
• Serve as an additional owner and subject matter expert for water-based critical utilities and support internal, regulatory, and plant audits.
• Ensure work complies with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, change-control procedures, and hirify.global policies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree; or bachelor’s degree and 6 months of maintenance experience; or associate’s degree and 2 years of maintenance experience; or high school diploma/GED and 4 years of maintenance experience.
• Preferred: 2-year technical degree in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, plant engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: 6+ years of combined education and experience, including 4+ years in an FDA/GMP or comparable regulated environment.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic fundamentals, plus power and hand tools used in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Experience with root cause analysis, reliability-centered maintenance, total productive maintenance, or similar reliability concepts.
• Effective oral and written communication, strong mathematical and reading skills, and intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills.
