TL;DR
Sr. Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing Equipment): Leading a maintenance organization supporting automated production of diabetes technology with an accent on equipment reliability, safety, quality, and cGMP compliance. Focus on developing maintenance managers, troubleshooting complex electromechanical equipment, managing machine-shop operations, and driving Lean improvements and root-cause investigations.
Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States. Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility to support a 24/7 plant, including all shifts and some weekends.
Annual base salary: $140,000–$210,050, with potential incentive compensation.

What you will do
- Lead four Maintenance Managers and align daily activities with business objectives, safety, quality, and cGMP requirements.
- Build maintenance capability and establish work standards that improve manufacturing equipment reliability.
- Manage machine-shop operations, maintain tools and equipment, and train plant engineering personnel in safe equipment use.
- Develop training plans, preventive maintenance tasks, work plans, SOPs, and documented work instructions.
- Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive Lean continuous improvement and document maintenance and equipment-improvement activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 10 years of experience maintaining, repairing, and setting up complex electromechanical assembly equipment.
- At least 5 years supervising or leading maintenance, repair, and improvement activities in a high-volume production environment.
- At least 2 years of machine-shop experience.
- Mechanical aptitude, technical problem-solving ability, and the ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Ability to work onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, across all shifts and some weekends as required.
Nice to have
- Engineering Technician diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, especially Maximo.
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, servo motors, pneumatic actuators, sensors, HMIs, and machine-user interfaces.
- Cleanroom or regulated-industry experience, preferably in consumer products or life sciences.
