Product Manager, Orchestration Platform (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Argentina, Mexico, or Colombia; currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

What you will do

• Define the orchestration platform's boundaries, guarantees, non-goals, and reusable platform primitives.
• Own the sequencing and migration strategy required to onboard additional financial products.
• Define workflow interfaces, idempotency, retry and compensation semantics, timeouts, state visibility, SLAs, documentation, onboarding, and observability tooling.
• Run the platform engineering roadmap while balancing remittance reliability with long-term platform investment.
• Own metrics including workflow success, completion time, manual intervention, stuck-workflow resolution, and integration time.
• Partner with engineering, operations, compliance, and finance on architecture and product decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years owning a platform, infrastructure, API, or backend product for engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous processing, eventual consistency, at-least-once delivery, idempotency, compensation versus rollback, and long-running workflow failures.
• Experience with payments, remittances, banking, ledgers, or transaction processing, including settlement, reconciliation, payout partners, and compliance screening.
• Exceptional written communication and the ability to create dependable specifications and product contracts.
• Comfort querying data, reading dashboards, and investigating anomalies independently.
• Ability to make and defend platform decisions with senior stakeholders and engineering partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow or durable-execution engines such as Temporal, Cadence, Step Functions, Camunda, or an equivalent system.
• Experience owning platform reliability outcomes.
