Product Manager (AI Platform)

Location: 100% remote from Mexico, Brazil, or Argentina; full-time hours with US Central Time core hours and flexibility around critical releases.

Rate: $20–$35 USD per hour.

Established US-based provider of billing, payroll, and compliance technology for large enterprise customers.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, roadmap, quarterly goals, and monthly deliverables for a new AI-native platform.
• Define MVP scope and translate business outcomes into PRDs, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
• Coordinate product, delivery, engineering, and an external engineering pod through backlog grooming, sprint planning, release readiness, and scope decisions.
• Validate API contracts and data mappings for payroll, staffing, and finance integrations, and plan migration and validation from the existing product.
• Hire and manage a QC Lead and two QC Engineers while setting QA strategy, defect SLAs, and go/no-go criteria.
• Define phased launch criteria, runbooks, training, auditability, compliance rules, post-launch KPIs, triage, and stabilisation activities.

Requirements

• Proven product management experience taking a product from prototype to production.
• Experience writing PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience managing engineering backlogs and sprints.
• Experience validating APIs and data mappings for system integrations.
• Experience leading or building QA/QC functions, including hiring, and working with compliance-driven data, billing, and reporting.
• Professional fluency in English at minimum; familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, GitHub, Postman or Swagger, and Datadog or Grafana.
