Senior Project Engineer, Sustaining Product Development (SPD)

Location: Hybrid, three days on site in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States. Relocation assistance is available. Limited domestic and international travel of less than 10% is required.

Salary: $89,800–$114,100 per year

What you will do

• Plan, design, and develop product solutions integrating controllers with sensors, ECMs, alternators, and other accessories.
• Modify components and design harnesses and wire management systems to meet product performance and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, hardware, harness, systems, mechanical, manufacturing, marketing, customer, and supplier teams.
• Direct or perform testing for sensors, connectors, ECMs, accessories, suppliers, and generator integration projects.
• Build and maintain databases of approved sensors, gauges, accessories, and auxiliary components.
• Manage project schedules, test plans, specifications, design documentation, progress reporting, and implementation milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of engine or generator controllers, sensors, third-party hardware, and software tools.
• Ability to communicate technical requirements, testing methods, schedules, and results effectively.
• Experience or ability to work with harness manufacturing processes, CAD, and electrical design tasks.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with three days on site in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of power systems experience.
• Experience with Creo Cable, AutoCAD, or SEE Electrical.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code standards.
• Experience with SAP or PTC Windchill.
