Engineering Pilot

Location: Tel-Aviv; onsite, full-time

hirify.global develops UAV platforms and engineering systems for operational use.

What you will do

• Plan and execute flight tests in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Own flight-test safety for the system, aircraft, and personnel on site.
• Lead the bring-up of new platforms, including filter and PID tuning and advanced first-flight calibration.
• Identify, isolate, and analyze field failures, then coordinate corrective actions with development teams.
• Use and help develop in-house debugging and field tools.
• Manage vehicles, equipment, and test-day readiness, including safe aircraft recovery when failures occur in flight.

Requirements

• Proven manual piloting experience with quadcopters and fixed-wing platforms.
• Experience with flight-control systems at the parameter and log level, including log analysis and root-cause identification.
• Strong engineering mindset, hands-on skills, patience for iterative work, and the ability to make immediate safety decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for translating flight observations into actionable engineering data.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid RATA drone pilot certification for open-area operations.

Nice to have

• Competitive FPV racing experience.
• Military UAV experience or structured flight-testing experience.
• Experience working with engineering teams in a fast-paced development environment.
• Field hardware repair skills, including soldering, component replacement, and mechanical improvisation.
