Software Development Engineer III (Robotics)

What you will do

• Develop critical product features and high-performance software for robotic systems.
• Lead and solve complex technical challenges across the overall system.
• Collaborate with architects on low-level design documents and technical roadmaps.
• Rearchitect existing algorithms and implementations, including simulation-based functional performance work.
• Review code, provide peer feedback, mentor engineers, and promote strong engineering practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing and implementing non-trivial software systems using multiple processes, threads, or IPC.
• Professional development experience with Java, Kotlin, and Python.
• Experience with microservice platforms, scalable architecture, and REST API integration.
• Strong RDBMS, database, SQL, design patterns, object-oriented design, frameworks, and algorithmic development skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Redwood City, California.
