Leveraged Lending Managing Director

Location: Hybrid position in Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America; travel required

Salary: $221,300–$368,900 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Lead the financial performance and strategic expansion of the Financial Sponsors Group.
• Generate, structure, originate, and execute capital advisory and leveraged lending transactions.
• Manage client and lender counsel relationships throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Direct the preparation of CIMs, lender presentations, pitches, and internal approval materials.
• Coordinate with Investment Bank, Credit, Risk, Operations, C&I, and Specialty Lending teams.
• Maintain controls, address transaction and regulatory risks, and resolve issues requiring escalation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 11 years of investment banking and capital markets experience, or 15 years of combined higher education and work experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 4 years of proven managerial experience and a sustained 7–10-year track record of sourcing revenue-generating mandates.
• Expertise in leveraged finance, capital markets, investment banking, and on- and off-balance-sheet lending.
• Strong credit, analytical, financial modeling, financial statement, legal document, spreadsheet, and presentation skills.
• Experience across credit products and capital markets within CRE, C&I, and Specialty Lending segments.
• Ability to manage deal teams, lead engagements, and collaborate with senior stakeholders and risk functions.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• At least 12 years of experience in commercial banking, investment banking, leveraged lending, or a related field.
• Strong private equity relationship network and specialized banking designations.
