Senior Quality Engineer (Playwright)

Location: Remote within Latin America

What you will do

• Partner with Core Web and Core Platform engineering teams throughout planning, development, testing, and release.
• Define risk-based test strategies for new features, system changes, and backend migrations.
• Identify and close quality gaps across headless frontend applications and backend services before launch.
• Build and maintain end-to-end automated test suites with Playwright or Cypress using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Develop API automation and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for repeatable release validation.
• Define quality metrics and release criteria, communicate risks and coverage gaps, and promote shared quality ownership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software QA for web applications and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with web end-to-end automation using Playwright or Cypress and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with API test automation using REST Assured, Postman, or code-based testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of risk-based testing, test strategy, and test coverage prioritization.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with developers on testability and quality practices.
• Fluent English required, with the ability to collaborate directly with distributed engineering teams.

• Experience using AI-assisted tools for test design and automation.
