Vice President, Domestic Settlements

Location: Newark, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $210,000–$235,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead assigned U.S. Fed and DTC settlements operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution against market deadlines, client commitments, and service levels.
• Provide senior subject-matter expertise in Fed settlements and operational leadership across DTC settlement workflows.
• Oversee settlement exceptions, fails management, buy-ins, cash and securities reconciliations, and exposure from unsettled transactions.
• Direct responses to major settlement disruptions and client escalations, coordinating stakeholders and corrective actions.
• Manage senior client relationships, service reviews, operating standards, performance metrics, and business continuity.
• Develop managers and emerging leaders while sponsoring automation, workflow simplification, technology enhancements, and operational change.

Requirements

• Extensive progressive experience in securities operations and settlements with significant leadership responsibility.
• Deep hands-on Fed securities settlements expertise, including Fedwire Securities Service processes, deadlines, exception resolution, cash and securities movements, and operational controls.
• Demonstrated DTC settlements experience covering workflows, fails management, reconciliations, and escalations.
• Experience leading managers and geographically distributed teams in a high-volume, time-sensitive financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of settlement-related financial risk, market exposure, reconciliation controls, operational resilience, and executive stakeholder management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; Series 99 is preferred subject to applicable registration requirements.
