Senior Physical Security and Safety Manager (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; on-site. Travel to offices, events, and other locations is expected up to 30%.

Base salary: $186,150–$235,450, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own physical security operations across offices, including access control, visitor management, badging, surveillance, guard services, emergency procedures, and facility protection.
• Build risk-based executive protection programs covering protective intelligence, travel risk, transportation, advance planning, and residential considerations.
• Develop and operate travel risk and duty-of-care programs, including traveler tracking, destination briefings, and emergency support.
• Establish threat monitoring, incident triage, escalation, executive briefings, and emergency communications processes.
• Lead incident response, crisis management, business continuity planning, tabletop exercises, and relationships with emergency services and building security.
• Manage security vendors, budgets, infrastructure projects, metrics, and cross-functional work with Workplace, People, IT, Legal, Compliance, Communications, and business leaders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in corporate security, physical security, executive protection, or a related field.
• Experience owning security programs across multiple sites or regions, ideally within a fast-growing technology company.
• Hands-on knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and visitor management systems.
• Experience building travel risk or duty-of-care programs and managing executive protection delivery or providers.
• Sound judgment, discretion, clear writing, and the ability to influence leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and respond to incidents outside business hours when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience building a security function from scratch at a startup or scale-up.
• Experience supporting both US and European operations.
• Familiarity with protective intelligence or online threat monitoring tools.
• CPP or PSP certification.
• Experience using AI tools to reduce busywork and improve communications.
