Technical Manager- Virtual Platform Team (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Hybrid work model with regular on-site work at an assigned Intel site and off-site work.

Annual salary: $195,200–$315,490 USD.

What you will do

• Architect and deliver simulation and virtual-platform solutions for multiple generations of AI system-on-chip products.
• Establish strategy, methodology, and technical standards for virtual-platform development.
• Lead technical development of simulation, virtual-platform, and performance models for architecture and micro-architecture.
• Enable early software development and support first-pass silicon success through pre-silicon environments.
• Develop configurable and reusable software collateral using C/C++, Python, and build systems.
• Collaborate with software and verification teams to deliver high-quality development environments on schedule.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing simulation models, virtual platforms, and performance models for architecture, micro-architecture, and early software enablement.
• 4+ years of experience managing a highly technical team.
• 4+ years of experience in subsystem and SoC-level development and analysis, including understanding of the AI software stack.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in C/C++, Python, and build systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with experience delivering pre-silicon development environments.

• Experience collaborating with software and verification teams.
• Experience using advanced AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot for development and verification of IP models.
