Data Scientist - Corporate & Institutional Banking (Generative AI)

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Wilmington, DE; Charlotte, NC; or Houston, TX, United States

Base salary: $86,250.00–$172,500.00 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Explore, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets using Python or R.
• Design, develop, validate, and monitor interpretable machine learning models and analytical solutions.
• Build applied Generative AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
• Deliver analytical products from prototyping through testing, validation, and scalable production deployment.
• Develop interactive dashboards and define performance metrics to communicate results and measure business impact.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, engineers, testers, architects, and analysts to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant post-graduate experience as a Data Scientist or in a comparable analytics role.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, SQL, large-dataset analysis, Apache Spark, and Git or comparable version control.
• Experience developing and evaluating traditional machine learning models, including feature engineering and performance assessment.
• Experience with interactive dashboard frameworks such as R Shiny, Dash, or Flask.
• Experience producing business requirements, user stories, test cases, and supporting analytical solutions through testing and production transition.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent practical experience; employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT are not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience in credit, accounting, financial operations, underwriting, entity resolution, record linkage, matching, or deduplication.
• Interest in developing expertise across multiple business domains.
