Information Technology - Software Engineer (Aerospace/Defense)

What you will do

• Support the Electrical Ground Support Equipment organization as a software engineer.
• Contribute to modernization efforts focused on efficiency, security, automation, and scalability.
• Design, develop, and integrate software for hardware test systems and automated test equipment.
• Troubleshoot interactions between software, network devices, and laboratory instrumentation.
• Collaborate with software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using Agile development practices.
• Coordinate technical needs with product line managers and directorates.

Requirements

• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance are required; a DoD Secret clearance is required before starting.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Programming experience with one or more of C, C++, LabVIEW, Python, Java, or TestStand.
• Experience designing automated test equipment software and working with Electrical Ground Support Equipment or aerospace and defense communications systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with product lifecycle management, issue-tracking systems, Atlassian development processes, and software-hardware integration.
