Senior Network Security Engineer (Active CCNP Security Required)

Location: Dallas, United States; other locations include Dubuque, Kansas City, and Des Moines. Up to 10% travel is required. The role supports U.S. government clients and requires eligibility for applicable work authorization, background screening, security, and contractual requirements.

Salary: $94,400–$178,800 per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Architect and document end-to-end network security solutions, including next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, segmentation, secure remote access, identity-based access control, and SASE frameworks.
• Lead deployment and integration of Cisco Secure Firewall, Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Meraki solutions.
• Assess client environments, identify security and policy gaps, and recommend improvements to resilience, compliance, and performance.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for critical incidents, delivering root-cause analysis, remediation plans, and corrective actions.
• Advise technical and executive stakeholders through workshops, roadmap sessions, and security assessments.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and managed services teams while mentoring junior engineers and developing internal best practices.

Requirements

• Active Cisco Certified Network Professional – Security (CCNP Security) certification.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network and security solutions.
• Strong expertise in firewall design, network segmentation, VPN and remote access, Cisco ISE, SSE technologies, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Firewall FTD/ASA, ISE, Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, Secure Access, and SASE solutions.
• Advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Eligibility to work on U.S. government engagements and satisfy all applicable work authorization, security, background screening, and contractual requirements.

Nice to have

• Consulting or professional services experience with enterprise network and security solutions.
• Automation and infrastructure-as-code experience with Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
• Industrial networking and OT security experience, including ICS/SCADA, Purdue Model architecture, and IT/OT integration.
• Experience with network segmentation initiatives, dynamic routing protocols, cloud security integration, and mentoring engineers.
