People Operations Lead

Location: On-site in Warsaw, Poland

What you will do

• Own employment legal, entity, and compliance operations across Poland, Germany, the United States, and Ireland.
• Maintain compliance with contract types, mandatory documents, registrations, working-time rules, leave requirements, payroll inputs, and deadlines.
• Issue and amend contracts, manage Deel and EOR relationships, and maintain complete employee and contractor records.
• Own the legal side of visas and permits with immigration providers and manage exits, disputes, terminations, and offboarding compliance.
• Build the levelling framework, run the performance cycle, and keep people policies current and clear.
• Lead the Operations (People) function as the company grows from approximately 50 to more than 100 people.

Requirements

• Experience in employment, immigration, or corporate law, compliance, or startup operations.
• Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions, entities, or EOR arrangements.
• Ability to learn complex rules quickly, assess risk, make recommendations, and drive compliant solutions to completion.
• Strong written English.
• Comfort using AI tools in daily work.
• Ability to work on-site in Warsaw, Poland.

Nice to have

• Audit experience, including SOC 2, GDPR, or financial audits.
• Startup or scale-up experience.
• Polish language skills.
