Senior Software Engineer (Microsoft .NET)

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide Tier 3 support for mission-critical applications, including incident triage, root-cause analysis, status communication, and durable remediation.
• Maintain and enhance Classic ASP/VBScript, ASP.NET Web Forms, VB.NET, C#, and Windows-based .NET applications.
• Support SQL Server queries, stored procedures, data-access code, IIS-hosted applications, Windows environments, and document-processing workflows.
• Build and support secure integrations with enterprise APIs and services using appropriate authentication, credential handling, and least-privilege access.
• Use Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines to validate and promote changes across development, test, and production environments.
• Improve regression, integration, deployment smoke testing, documentation, operational handoffs, and production readiness.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass the client-required criminal and financial background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six or more years of professional software development or application-support experience in an enterprise Microsoft environment.
• Hands-on experience with Classic ASP/VBScript, ASP.NET Web Forms, VB.NET, or C# on .NET Framework, plus strong SQL Server skills.
• Experience supporting IIS-hosted applications, Windows servers or virtual machines, PowerShell, Git, and enterprise build and release pipelines.
• Knowledge of authentication and identity technologies, software development life cycle practices, secure coding, incident analysis, and production change management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, MSAL, app-only authentication, REST APIs, API gateways, or MuleSoft.
• Experience with SSIS, COM/COM+, scheduled processing, document and PDF workflows, Azure, or hybrid Azure/on-premises environments.
• Experience with automated testing, structured logging, monitoring, alerting, and production-readiness checks.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot for supporting adjacent systems.
