Solutions Architect (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid, onsite twice a week in Arlington, VA; applicants must be based within a 1–2-hour commute in the National Capital Region. U.S. citizenship and DHS Public Trust EOD clearance are required.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, review, and oversee complex enterprise architectures across AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments.
• Lead modernization, consolidation, migration, integration, and interoperability initiatives for systems, data, and networks.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective technical solutions with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Develop pilots, proofs of concept, architecture diagrams, models, roadmaps, and implementation documentation.
• Provide technical oversight, resolve implementation challenges, and support DHS ICE security assessments, audits, certifications, and authorizations.
• Establish cloud usage and cost-efficiency KPIs and maintain knowledge bases in Confluence, Teams, and SharePoint.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in an IT development environment, including 5 years as a Solutions Architect and 3–5 years writing SELC/SDLC documentation.
• 5 years of experience in a major services organization with large-scale project management or oversight responsibilities.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, data migration, data mapping, data modeling, REST APIs, authentication, scripting, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of enterprise governance, data quality and protection, cybersecurity, risk management, regulatory requirements, and change management.
• Familiarity with microservices, composable business systems, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, large language models, and robotic process automation.
• U.S. citizenship and DHS Public Trust EOD clearance required; Secret Clearance or above is preferred. Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management required.

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud data offerings and usage.
• Experience working with DHS policies and systems.
• Transformation leadership, senior stakeholder relationship management, project oversight, and decision-making experience.
