Product Designer (Growth)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $195,000–$268,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Design the connected journey from first touch and onboarding through activation, upgrades, and becoming a paying customer.
• Own billing, payments, subscriptions, pricing, invoices, payment methods, dunning, and upgrade or downgrade flows.
• Design first-run and activation experiences that help developers reach their first successful deployment and build ongoing product habits.
• Run user testing, interviews, validation activities, and experiments to improve activation, conversion, and retention.
• Ship rapidly across a broad product surface while maintaining a high bar for craft, clarity, and information architecture.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, marketing, and finance on pricing, revenue, and user experience decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant product design experience, including work for developers or other technical users.
• Experience with developer tools, cloud infrastructure, APIs, or other technical products; growth, billing, or payments experience is especially relevant.
• Strong product judgment, information architecture skills, visual and interaction craft, and the ability to work at high velocity.
• Experience designing complex billing, payments, subscriptions, checkout, or pricing surfaces where correctness and clarity are critical.
• Ability to conduct user research, design and interpret experiments, and use product data to guide decisions.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with product, engineering, data, marketing, finance, and other designers.

Nice to have

• Experience with usage-based or resource-metered billing for developer tools, including compute plans, usage metering, and infrastructure-based pricing.
• Design-engineering literacy, including comfort with code, motion, prototyping, or AI-assisted design.
• Writing, talks, or side projects demonstrating design craft and point of view.
