AI Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and build agent tools and process skills for scan planning, robot program generation, and motion error resolution.
• Develop multi-model orchestration, routing tasks across large and small models to balance accuracy, latency, and token cost.
• Fine-tune, distill, serve, and optimize open-weight language and vision-language models for customer deployments.
• Build deterministic evaluation harnesses, benchmark suites, logging, and tracing for agent and model reliability.
• Own model and dataset versioning, experiment tracking, release workflows, and training and evaluation datasets.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience building machine learning or large language model systems that reached production.
• Strong Python skills and solid engineering practices, including testing, Git, code review, and API development.
• Hands-on experience with agent development, tool and function calling, structured outputs, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
• Hands-on fine-tuning of open-weight models using PyTorch, Hugging Face, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning libraries.
• Experience designing objective model or agent evaluations and deploying models with Docker, GPU inference, and cloud platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-agent architectures, distillation, quantisation, or on-premises and airgapped deployment.
• Experience with vision-language models, 3D point clouds, computer vision, robotics, Robot Operating System, motion planning, or industrial automation.
• Experience with Agile development and Jira.
• A degree in computer science or a related field.
