Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Remote USA; East Coast preferred. Travel estimated at approximately 50% or more.

Salary: $76,200–$101,600 per year plus bonus. The stated range reflects a position based in Arizona.

What you will do

• Manage supplier quality performance through quality metrics, compliance monitoring, and improvement initiatives.
• Investigate supplier-related quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualification activities covering manufacturing capability and process controls.
• Partner with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers on new product introductions, supplier transitions, and process changes.
• Analyze supplier quality trends, identify risks, and improve supplier PPM and OTD performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, AS9102 FAIRs, control plans, measurement techniques, GD&T, and measurement systems analysis, particularly for machined components.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes, including 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
• Knowledge of supplier quality management systems, AS9100, ISO 9001, and auditing practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, supplier relationship, and stakeholder-influence skills; ability to manage multiple suppliers independently.
