Senior HSE Manager (Industrial Construction)

What you will do

• Develop and implement the project HSE execution strategy, assurance program, goals, KPIs, and leading metrics.
• Lead HSE governance and serve as the owner's primary authority on health, safety, and environmental matters.
• Oversee EPC, EPCM, construction contractor, subcontractor, and service-provider HSE performance through audits, field assessments, and management reviews.
• Lead hazard identification, risk management, incident investigations, root-cause analyses, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance, including OSHA, EPA, permits, waste management, water protection, hazardous materials, and spill response.
• Support emergency preparedness, executive HSE reporting, commissioning, pre-startup safety reviews, startup, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive HSE experience, including at least 10 years supporting large industrial capital projects.
• At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience with projects exceeding $500 million in total installed cost and with EPC, EPCM, and construction management delivery models.
• Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
• Strong executive presence, safety leadership, strategic thinking, risk management, contractor management, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, communication, influencing, and coaching capabilities.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• CSP, CHST, CIH, NEBOSH Diploma, OSHA 30/500, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
