AI & Innovation Specialist (Internship) (AI)

Location: Montréal, Canada; hybrid workplace

Company

Transportation engineering and consulting firm providing solutions for passenger and freight infrastructure, including railway feasibility, capacity, and privatization projects.

What you will do

• Identify and analyze AI use cases with business teams.
• Support the deployment of generative AI and automation tools across the ALTO project.
• Develop demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects, and measure productivity gains.
• Contribute to AI governance, best practices, and the innovation initiative portfolio.
• Conduct technology watch activities and organize ideation and co-creation workshops.
• Prepare governance presentations and support relationships with technology partners, universities, and research centres.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, civil engineering, or urban planning.
• Strong interest in AI, digital transformation, and innovation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and generative AI solutions.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English are required.
