Senior Actuarial Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Develop efficient and transparent queries to obtain appropriate data with minimal oversight.
• Create actuarial studies, analyses, and presentation materials for decision-makers.
• Apply actuarial techniques and statistical analysis to areas such as insurance pricing, claims trends, experience studies, medical economics, profitability, wellness, predictive modeling, provider efficiency, contracting analysis, and claim reserving.
• Review work for internal and external consistency and recommend improvements to management.
• Manage multiple projects, recurring deliverables, timelines, scope, and quality with increasing independence.
• Explain technical work to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in an actuarial role.
• Completion of 4 actuarial exam components.
• Knowledge of actuarial principles, concepts, practices, and processes in a specific discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Must work remotely from Pennsylvania, United States.

Nice to have

• Completion of 6 or more actuarial exam components.
