Instructional Designer (AI)

Location: Portugal; remote position with possible virtual or onsite office shadowing depending on work location. Other locations: Coimbra, Lisbon, Porto.

What you will do

• Design learning journeys for customers, partners, and internal teams, including onboarding, feature adoption, certifications, tutorials, and performance-support resources.
• Use AI-enabled workflows for research, drafting, adaptation, assessment creation, scenario generation, and content localization while validating outputs with subject-matter experts.
• Create video tutorials, product walkthroughs, microlearning modules, interactive guides, job aids, and in-app learning experiences.
• Script, storyboard, produce, edit, and maintain multimedia content using tools such as Synthesia, Descript, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Partner with Product, UX, Documentation, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and subject-matter experts to explain complex fraud-prevention and risk-management capabilities.
• Measure learning performance, improve content based on learner and product-adoption data, and support scalable governance, localization, accessibility, and quality-assurance processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, learning-content development, product education, customer education, enablement, technical writing, or a related field.
• Knowledge of instructional-design fundamentals, adult-learning principles, learning objectives, learner personas, assessments, storyboarding, and content sequencing.
• Experience creating multimedia learning assets such as videos, tutorials, certifications, microlearning, interactive modules, or contextual help.
• Practical experience with generative-AI tools, prompt writing, AI-assisted content workflows, and reviewing AI output for accuracy, bias, security, privacy, accessibility, and brand alignment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate with subject-matter experts and cross-functional Product, UX, Documentation, Customer Success, Support, and Enablement teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B SaaS, fintech, banking, payments, fraud prevention, risk management, compliance, anti-money-laundering, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with digital-adoption platforms such as Pendo, WalkMe, or Whatfix.
• Familiarity with Synthesia, Descript, Camtasia, Articulate 360, Loom, Adobe Creative Cloud, learning-management systems, or certification platforms.
• Experience creating content for global audiences and supporting localization across multiple languages.
• Portuguese language skills, AI governance, responsible AI, or knowledge-management experience.
