Senior / Principal Solutions Architect (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, combining on-site and remote work

hirify.global is delivering a cloud advisory and assessment engagement for a public-sector client.

What you will do

• Review the client's infrastructure, applications, integrations, and cloud footprint.
• Assess team structures, roles, governance, and the current cloud operating model.
• Evaluate cloud readiness, risks, gaps, dependencies, security, governance, and compliance.
• Benchmark current practices against AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud adoption frameworks, Well-Architected principles, FinOps, and Cloud Centre of Excellence models.
• Develop a secure, scalable, and sustainable target cloud operating model with a prioritized roadmap.
• Prepare executive-ready assessments and facilitate interviews, workshops, and presentations with technical, business, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance is required.
• 10+ years of technology experience, including significant cloud strategy, cloud transformation, and enterprise architecture work.
• Experience assessing and designing operating models, preferably in a consulting or technical advisory capacity.
• Extensive experience with cloud security, governance, and compliance.
• Ability to assess complex technical environments and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or Oracle Fusion SaaS.
• Experience with ERP or HR/payroll systems in large enterprise or government environments.
• Government or public-sector transformation experience with Canadian federal or provincial clients.
• TOGAF, AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Familiarity with Government of Canada cloud guardrails, ITSG-33, and data residency requirements.
