LLM Prompt Specialist (AI)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Define and lead strategies, patterns, and tooling for prompt design, agentic workflows, and LLM-based application architectures.
• Build reusable design patterns, evaluation frameworks, and developer tooling for multiple teams and use cases.
• Design and improve LLM-powered products, including retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector database solutions.
• Develop evaluation pipelines for non-deterministic systems and apply modern LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
• Guide responsible AI adoption, including safety and policy considerations.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Six or more years of software engineering experience, including significant work with LLM-based applications.
• Demonstrated experience shipping LLM-powered products to production.
• Deep familiarity with modern LLM APIs, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern application frameworks.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, excellent communication skills, and a track record of mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Public writing, talks, or open-source contributions on LLM application development.
• Experience with multi-agent architectures, complex tool-use systems, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Exposure to customer support, coding assistant, or analytics agent domains.
• Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise software with strict compliance requirements.
