Senior Lead, Accounts Payable

What you will do

• Oversee the EMEA accounts payable ledger to maintain accurate and complete records.
• Perform key vendor statement reconciliations, lead variance-resolution meetings, and review aged invoices and unreconciled cash lines.
• Coordinate with utilities contract management teams to ensure correct invoice booking and recover due refunds.
• Act as the regional accounts payable contact for offshore teams, handling escalations, monitoring manual activity metrics, and providing training.
• Partner with treasury and accounting teams on supplier payments, urgent spend, month-end close, and accrual-related issues.
• Contribute to global accounts payable system improvements, process optimization, performance analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, ideally in a multi-currency global environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working across time zones and with different cultures and languages.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and speed when entering numerical data into financial systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with urgency.
• Comfort with continuous improvement and adapting to regular change.
