Senior Systems Software Engineer (Linux/C/Python)

What you will do

• Develop systems software in C and Python for low-level networking, hardware-facing code, and Linux kernel integration.
• Develop and configure kernel modules and drivers, enumerate devices, and debug Linux systems below userspace.
• Integrate PCIe architectures, high-performance networking offloads, and out-of-band management interfaces.
• Collaborate with mechanical and hardware engineers to integrate COTS components into fieldable, production-ready platforms.
• Communicate project status, resolve customer issues, and present technical designs to unclassified and classified stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer/electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field, plus 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in C and Python systems programming, Linux internals, kernel modules, drivers, device enumeration, and below-userspace debugging.
• Experience with PCIe topology, addressing, peer-to-peer communication, virtualization, and passthrough.
• Experience with kernel-bypass packet processing, hardware offload, line-rate data paths, BMC and REST-based management interfaces, and hardware collaboration.
• Active Top Secret clearance, ability to obtain SCI, and ability to work on-site in Arlington, Virginia are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s or graduate degree and active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience with secure boot, roots of trust, attestation, cryptographic hardware, compliance frameworks, embedded systems, and firmware provisioning.
• Familiarity with CUDA, accelerated inference, network security monitoring, intrusion detection, detection engineering, or live memory forensics.
• Experience with COTS hardware integration, automated test ranges, deployment automation, CI/CD infrastructure, CNO capabilities, protocol analysis, or reverse engineering.
