What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, test, validate, and debug software across firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, and applications.
• Integrate software, firmware, boards, and silicon/SoC components for Ethernet PHY, IPU, and FNIC systems.
• Define system architectures, product specifications, integration plans, and component-level trade-offs for performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Build prototypes, conduct lab experiments, simulate real-world environments, and analyze performance using test and measurement equipment.
• Deliver customer solutions, execute benchmark tests, prepare technical documentation, and respond to customer issues.
• Collaborate with silicon, hardware, firmware, software, cloud-service-provider, research, and academic teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing software/firmware automated test environments and tools with Python, C, C++, Git, Docker, Grafana, and shell scripting.
• 6+ years of experience validating and characterizing IPs in standalone and full-chip environments, including lab measurement, results analysis, and board debugging.
• 4+ years of experience with networking fundamentals, including NICs, switching, and modern data-center protocols.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, project-management, organizational, and cross-team technical-influence skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher and technical leadership experience.
• Experience with high-speed Ethernet PAM4 SerDes and 802.3 Ethernet Physical Layer technologies.
• Experience debugging Auto-Negotiation, Link Training, Forward Error Correction, SerDes, firmware, and system-configuration issues.
• Experience with SoC IP integration, RTOS, NVM configuration, pre-silicon verification, PCB schematics, I2C, MDIO, UART, Linux, and system software stacks.
