Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Open to contractors based in Poland

Rate: 135–170 PLN/hour on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Maintain and continuously evolve a mature product that coordinates Flix with Mobility Partners.
• Contribute to product and technical decisions with direct business impact.
• Design new products and improve existing systems in an Agile environment.
• Address architectural challenges, reduce manual processes, and explore AI-driven solutions.
• Support technical decisions across teams and improve technical excellence through collaboration.
• Build user-centered solutions using a product-minded, data-driven approach.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and technologies including Spring/Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL/Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, and S3.
• Willingness to work with Java for existing products and Kotlin for new products.
• Experience making architectural decisions and writing clean, performant, well-tested code.
• Autonomy, ownership, strong communication skills, and a product mindset.
• Fluent English at upper-intermediate level or higher, plus experience coding with AI.

Nice to have

• DevOps and infrastructure experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI, AWS, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with data engineering, ETL, and Snowflake.
• Experience mentoring, explaining complex topics clearly, and providing constructive feedback.
