Presales Technical Consultant (Big Data & Databricks)

What you will do

• Lead business and technical discovery with enterprise clients and translate requirements into scalable big data, data engineering, analytics, and cloud data platform solutions.
• Design end-to-end architectures covering data ingestion, lakehouse platforms, batch and real-time processing, orchestration, analytics, governance, security, and modernization.
• Develop and present solution proposals, architecture designs, technical demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities using Databricks and major cloud platforms.
• Lead technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, including estimation, scope definition, assumptions, dependencies, risk analysis, and proposal development.
• Manage multiple presales opportunities and coordinate Sales, Delivery, Engineering, Cloud, Data, and Project Management teams.
• Ensure structured handover to implementation teams and contribute reusable architectures, accelerators, technical assets, and enablement materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, or technical presales.
• Hands-on production experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, lakehouse architecture, Spark-based processing, pipelines, Databricks SQL, and Unity Catalog.
• Experience designing large-scale data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, batch and streaming systems, data models, and integrations.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with experience presenting to global enterprise clients and working with distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Databricks, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
• Experience with AWS and Azure, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with enterprise data platform modernization, migration, AI/ML, Generative AI, GDPR, or CCPA.
• Background in consulting, system integration, or global technology services.
