Backend Developer (Autofix)

Location: Ghent, Belgium; able to work from the Ghent office at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services with TypeScript and Node.js, using Python, PHP, and other languages when needed.
• Manage AWS and Lambda deployments.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Design scalable, highly available systems and document new features.
• Handle asynchronous programming and optimize code for performance.
• Explore and integrate AI features into security products.

Requirements

• Experience with automated testing and unit tests.
• Some DevOps experience, including CI/CD.
• Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and solve complex algorithmic problems such as AST parsing.
• Willingness to learn new languages, experiment, and work through difficult technical problems.
• Fluent English and availability to work from the Ghent office at least 3 days per week.
• Curiosity about AI and comfort working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
