Go Engineer (Fintech)

Salary: EUR 1850–3175 per month gross; final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Support a large-scale issuer processor migration programme in the payments industry.
• Design and implement integrations between complex client and vendor platforms.
• Develop and maintain high-volume backend services using Go.
• Work with transaction processing systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Perform technical analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Help ensure reliability, continuity, and high availability in cloud-native environments.

Requirements

• Senior-level backend engineering experience with 3+ years of strong Go or Golang expertise.
• Experience designing, building, and integrating complex backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, Kafka, API design, and system-to-system communication.
• Experience with large-scale migrations, transaction processing systems, high-volume backend services, and business-critical high-availability systems.
• Experience with cloud-native environments and modern software engineering practices, including technical analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and integrations.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience in card payments, issuer processing, banking, fintech, transaction switching, or payment infrastructure.
• Experience collaborating with client, vendor, and cross-functional engineering teams.
