Senior Backend Developer (.NET) (Insurance)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or office-based within the listed European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 3,050–4,550 gross per month. An additional bonus of up to EUR 1,000 per month may be earned through company activities.

What you will do

• Design and build .NET 8 microservices using FastEndpoints and Clean Architecture.
• Implement Temporal workflow orchestration, typed workflows and activities, signals, queries, and cross-task-queue dispatch.
• Develop platform capabilities including configuration registries, rules APIs, workflow gateways, payment adapters, and policy adapters.
• Integrate GoRules ZEN, Cerbos, Azure services, and structured logging and authorization components.
• Write unit and integration tests with xUnit, FakeItEasy, and Shouldly, including tests against real dependencies.
• Collaborate with platform and domain teams on API contracts, OpenAPI specifications, and shared NuGet libraries.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on .NET development experience, including required .NET 8 experience.
• Strong knowledge of Clean Architecture, strict layer dependencies, Result-based error handling, and ORM patterns with Entity Framework Core or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Temporal, FastEndpoints, ITemporalClient, workflows, activities, task queues, and cross-task-queue dispatch.
• Strong Azure experience with Key Vault, Managed Identity, Blob Storage, and Application Insights.
• Experience with automated and integration testing using xUnit, FakeItEasy, and Shouldly.
• Intermediate+ English required. Experience with containerized development, Docker or Podman, multi-stage builds, and Podman Compose is also required.

Nice to have

• FastEndpoints 7.x, GoRules ZEN, Cerbos .NET client, or JSONata .NET experience.
• Knowledge of Kafka consumer patterns and SOAP/WCF client integration.
• Experience with the Temporal .NET SDK.
