Integrated Manufacturing Systems Intern

Location: Waterford, Ireland; on-site. Start date: January 2027. Duration: 9 months.

What you will do

• Support colleagues with day-to-day system queries and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain and support systems used across the Waterford site.
• Manage user access requests and assist with system administration activities.
• Update system, process, and project documentation.
• Work with Integrated Manufacturing Systems, Digital, Automation, and IT colleagues on hardware and software support.
• Help introduce new digital and automation solutions and improve existing ways of working.

Requirements

• Be a current university student who will return to university after the internship.
• Have an interest in technology, systems, and problem-solving.
• Have basic technical knowledge or experience and a strong willingness to learn.
• Have good communication, interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Be comfortable collaborating, asking questions, and learning from others.
• A background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or another technical field is beneficial but not essential.
