Network Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Cork, Ireland, with an expectation to be onsite at least 2 days per week in the Cork office. Eligibility to live and work in Ireland is required; relocation support is not available.

Salary: €66,000–€77,000 per year, with equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Own the design, operation, health, and global standards of the corporate LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, secure remote access, and site infrastructure.
• Use automation to ensure infrastructure standards are implemented consistently across sites.
• Build and lead monitoring and observability for network and infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues before they affect users.
• Lead incident management from response through root cause analysis and lasting remediation.
• Design capacity, resilience, and connectivity for offices, engineering labs, and AWS environments as the business grows.
• Strengthen network security, manage connectivity and network vendors, and partner with Corporate Security, Engineering, and global IT teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, Wi-Fi, and firewalls in a multi-site environment.
• Experience with SD-WAN and secure remote access.
• Experience building monitoring and observability for network and infrastructure.
• Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis.
• Scripting or automation skills, such as Python or Ansible.
• Strong communication skills and experience supporting a global user base.
• Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Eligibility to live and work in Ireland.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Experience with hirify.global business networking products.
• Cloud networking experience in AWS, including VPC design, site-to-site VPN, and Direct Connect.
• Network automation or infrastructure as code experience.
• Network design experience for lab or test environments.
