Data Science Engineering Manager (AI): Leading and growing a multidisciplinary data science engineering group responsible for real-time content-moderation inference, GenAI safety and red-teaming, and Databricks-based data and MLOps platforms with an accent on production ML, large-scale data systems, and latency-sensitive model serving. Focus on setting technical direction, delivering reliable Python and Rust services, developing the team, and advancing AI safety systems across complex customer-facing workloads.
Location: Ramat Gan, Israel; onsite R&D role

What you will do
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of ML engineers, data scientists, and software engineers.
- Own hiring, onboarding, mentoring, 1:1s, career development, and performance management.
- Set technical direction, engineering standards, and a prioritized roadmap across parallel workstreams.
- Own the quality, reliability, delivery, cost, and latency of production inference, data, and MLOps systems.
- Review designs, unblock engineers, and drive testing, observability, CI/CD, and on-call excellence.
- Partner with Product, Platform, and GenAI safety stakeholders while keeping the team current in ML, LLMs, and GenAI safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing engineering or data science teams, or strong technical leadership experience ready to transition into formal management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong production Python and software-engineering background with solid foundations in ML and data science, including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience operating services at scale on AWS and Kubernetes, with large-scale Spark or PySpark data and a lakehouse such as Databricks.
- Daily, hands-on fluency with an AI coding assistant such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
Nice to have
- Production experience with LLMs or GenAI, including prompting, evaluation, guardrails, red-teaming, or agentic systems.
- Experience with NVIDIA Triton model serving and MLflow or Unity Catalog.
- Familiarity with Rust and Python/Rust interoperability using PyO3 or maturin.
- Background in GenAI safety, security, content moderation, or another domain where model quality has real-world impact.
- Experience with Kafka, SQS, or Terraform.
