PWP Installation Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Develop power plant installation definitions and electrical system installations, including harnesses, supports, brackets, and electrical boxes.
• Create mechanical component specifications and technical documentation for purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and harness fabrication.
• Coordinate with suppliers, external partners, and internal stakeholders through design reviews, testing, and project follow-up.
• Support production and in-service activities, including assembly instructions, maintainability, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer queries.
• Manage electrical databases, requirements, design documentation plans, status reports, and KPIs.
• Contribute to design manuals, design principles, technological development, configuration control, and change processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
• At least one year of professional experience in aircraft design, including at least six months in design activities.
• Proficiency in CATIA, PDM/PLM tools, and standard office software.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems, structures design, configuration management, and change processes; ability to accept design delegation.
• English at B2 or higher and advanced/fluent Spanish, written and spoken, are required.
• Proactive, adaptable, collaborative, motivated, and committed to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Experience in electromechanical design or power plant installation design.
• Experience with electrical installation design, harness design principles, electrical diagrams, See-XP or Capital Logic, and SIDIE.
