Technical Writer (IT Knowledge Content)

Location: Remote role associated with Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, US

What you will do

• Write, edit, and proofread technical articles, documentation, and knowledge content.
• Publish, update, and maintain enterprise knowledge bases using content management systems such as ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, service owners, developers, and support agents to validate and explain technical information.
• Monitor portal analytics, user feedback, and chatbot searches to identify content gaps and improve searchability.
• Coach and train staff on knowledge-sharing and content-management practices.
• Maintain content accuracy, relevance, visual quality, and alignment with organizational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science, English, or another technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent technical writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with content management systems and knowledge tools, specifically ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical skills for using usage data, feedback, and search metrics to improve content effectiveness.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in IT technical support or troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Markdown.
• Experience using visual elements, graphical presentations, or social media formats to improve content engagement.
