TL;DR
Network Silicon Architect (AI) (RDMA/Networking): Defining next-generation networking silicon and transport architectures for large-scale AI, cloud, and high-performance computing systems with an accent on RDMA transports, congestion management, reliability, and collective communication. Focus on translating workload requirements into scalable hardware, firmware, software, and system-level architectures while solving latency, throughput, packet loss, and distributed-system performance challenges.
Location: Leixlip, Ireland. Hybrid work model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.
Annual salary: €89,400–€139,700, excluding additional compensation components and benefits.

What you will do
- Define transport and networking silicon architectures for large-scale AI, cloud, and high-performance computing systems.
- Architect RDMA transports, network fabrics, congestion management, flow control, and reliability mechanisms.
- Optimize AI communication patterns, collective operations, and overall cluster performance.
- Analyze latency, throughput, tail performance, congestion, packet loss, and scalability limitations.
- Collaborate across silicon, firmware, software, system architecture, and industry ecosystems.
- Translate workload requirements into deployable transport, networking, and communication architecture specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years with a master’s degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Deep expertise in silicon development processes, silicon architecture, and microarchitecture.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet, IP, transport protocols, networking technologies, and distributed systems.
- Experience architecting high-performance communication systems across hardware, firmware, software, and system-level components.
- Ability to work under the hybrid model in Leixlip, Ireland, including time on-site at the assigned site.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of RDMA and transport protocol architecture.
- Experience with congestion control, traffic engineering, large-scale fabrics, and AI or HPC communication patterns.
