Senior Project Manager (Nuclear Security)

Location: On-site at the Nevada National Security Site, North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Work schedule is 4/10s, Monday through Thursday, subject to change.

Annual salary: $100,755.20–$151,132.80.

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC manages and operates the hirify.global for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration and supports high-hazard experimentation and national security missions.

What you will do

• Manage small projects under $5 million through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout.
• Manage control accounts and major Work Breakdown Structure elements within 413.B capital projects.
• Control project cost, schedule, technical performance, risk, quality, and baseline requirements.
• Coordinate communications among project stakeholders, team members, senior management, and Integrated Project Teams.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies, including management reserve administration.
• Support change control reviews and Baseline Change Requests affecting programmatic requirements and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience, plus at least 5 years of related professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, monitor, and complete project scope while meeting schedule, cost, risk, quality, and stakeholder requirements.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, conflict resolution, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to establish and lead small Integrated Project Teams of fewer than 10 people.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must work at the Nevada National Security Site and possess a valid driver’s license. Pre-placement physical examination, drug screening, and federal background investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge and experience with DOE O 413.3B project planning and execution.
• Experience with the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, national security agencies, regulators, or equivalent organizations.
• Ability to achieve internal Project Manager Certification at the Base Level or higher within one year.
