Microsoft Power BI Developer

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a USPS Public Trust clearance are required.

What you will do

• Build data models, complex measures, reports, dashboards, scorecards, dataflows, and datamarts using Microsoft Power BI.
• Clean, transform, load, and analyze data from warehouses, marts, stores, cubes, and related database systems.
• Design scalable, reliable, and high-performing BI solutions, including composite models, interactive dashboards, paginated reports, and visual analytics.
• Apply roles and row-level security across reports, apps, and workspaces, and optimize existing data models.
• Partner with OIG customers, project managers, solution architects, business analysts, and technical teams on requirements, architecture, design, and delivery.
• Author design documentation, provide technical feedback and coaching, and recommend emerging BI technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or a PL-300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of progressive experience in business intelligence or information management, including 2 years in data visualization and high-value solution delivery.
• At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing technical role and administrative work across multi-environment infrastructures.
• Expertise in ETL, data warehousing, data quality and profiling, data governance, metadata management, analytics, reporting, KPIs, and scorecards.
• Proficiency with SQL, SAS, R, Python, DAX, and M Power Queries, plus experience with interactive dashboards, composite models, RLS, report builder, and paginated reports.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, pass a USPIS Moderate Background Investigation, and obtain a USPS Public Trust elevated clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with government software development policies and procedures.
• Experience integrating PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Dataverse with Power BI.
