Senior Elastic Engineer (SIEM)

Location: Multiple locations in the United States. US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability are required.

Salary: $108,000–$163,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, operate, and evolve the enterprise Elastic SIEM solution.
• Maintain secure, highly available, resilient, and optimized Elastic Stack environments.
• Manage data ingestion, dashboards, alerts, monitoring, and search use cases.
• Detect emerging risks, resolve platform issues, and implement preventative measures.
• Support change control, configuration management, security, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, Security, and the Elastic vendor on escalations, roadmaps, and platform innovation.

Requirements

• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability
• 4+ years of experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• 2+ years of experience deploying and configuring Elastic Agent policies and troubleshooting common issues.
• Experience managing data ingestion and monitoring the Elastic Stack.
• Experience using Elastic APIs through Dev Tools or ad-hoc scripting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical topics into business language.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Kafka, Elastic Cloud Hosted, major Elastic Stack upgrades, and Enterprise Search.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, Agile or SAFe delivery, and ALM tools such as Jira or Confluence.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, backups, replication, and large federal programs.
• Experience with vector, semantic, and lexical search, RAG solutions, LLMs, GenAI tooling, or agent-based AI architectures.
• Elastic certification or related certifications.
